• Account information: Your email address, used for authentication via our passwordless one-time code (OTP) system

• Profile information: Your name (optional, used for personalisation within the App)

• User-generated content: Items you save to your cooling-off list, including item names, prices, links, and personal notes

• Savings goals: Goal names and target amounts you create

• Preferences: Currency selection, notification settings, and cooling-off period preferences

• Siri Shortcuts data: Item names added via voice commands, if you choose to use this feature

• Marketing preferences: Your choice to opt in or out of product update emails

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, certain information is collected automatically:

• User identifier: A unique ID to associate your data with your account

• Device information: Device model and operating system version (used solely for crash diagnostics and improving app stability)

• Crash reports and error logs: Technical information about app crashes to help us identify and fix bugs

• Performance data: App performance metrics to help us optimise the user experience

• Subscription status: Information about your subscription tier and purchase history, processed through Apple's App Store

We use the information we collect solely to:

• Provide the Service: Create and manage your account, store your items and goals, and deliver core app functionality

• Sync your data: Enable secure cloud synchronisation across your devices

• Manage subscriptions: Process and manage your Pro subscription through Apple's App Store

• Improve the App: Analyse crash reports and performance data to fix bugs and enhance stability

• Respond to support requests: Address your questions and provide customer support

• Send communications: With your explicit consent, send occasional emails about product updates, savings tips, and new features

We process your information only where:

• It is necessary to fulfil our contract with you (providing the Service)

• You have given consent (e.g., marketing emails)

• We have a legitimate interest (e.g., improving app stability)

• We are required to do so by law

We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate our Service. These providers process your information strictly for the purposes specified and are contractually bound to protect your data.

We do not:

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored securely using encrypted cloud infrastructure provided by Supabase. Data may be processed in data centres located in the European Union and/or the United States, in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

• View and edit your data: Access and modify your items, goals, and profile in the App

• Delete individual items: Remove specific items or goals at any time

• Delete your account: Permanently delete your account and all associated data through Settings

• Manage email preferences: Opt in or out of marketing emails during sign-up or through Settings

Subscription Management

Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store. To cancel or modify your subscription, use your device's App Store settings.

The App

The Spend Slow App does not use:

• Advertising cookies or trackers

• Cross-platform tracking technologies

• Analytics SDKs that track user behaviour for advertising purposes

We use Sentry solely for crash reporting and performance monitoring to improve app stability. This data is not used for tracking or advertising and is not linked to your identity for marketing purposes.

Our Website

Our website (spendslow.app) uses only essential cookies required for basic functionality. We do not use marketing or advertising cookies on our website.

Chrome Extension: The Spend Slow Chrome extension stores all data locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. This includes your hourly wage, currency preference, and savings statistics. No data is collected, transmitted, or shared with external servers. The extension only activates on specific shopping sites (Amazon, ASOS, eBay, etc.) to display checkout reminders and does not track your browsing history or purchase information.

Spend Slow is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
