Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Spend Slow. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

Permitted Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall not:

• Misuse, tamper with, or interfere with the functionality of the Service

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service

• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

• Use automated systems or software to extract data from the Service

• Interfere with other users' use and enjoyment of the Service

Account Creation

To use Spend Slow, you must create an account using your email address. We use a passwordless authentication system that sends a one-time verification code (OTP) to your email address each time you sign in.

Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account

• All activities that occur under your account

• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

Subscription Model

Spend Slow operates as a subscription-based application with both free and premium tiers:

• Free tier: Limited features with restrictions on the number of active items and goals

• Pro tier: Unlimited items, goals, and access to premium features

Free Trials

We may offer free trial periods for the Pro subscription. Unless you cancel before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan, and you will be charged the applicable subscription fee.

Billing and Payments

All billing and payment processing is handled through Apple's App Store. By subscribing to Spend Slow Pro, you agree to Apple's terms and conditions for in-app purchases.

Managing Your Subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

Refunds

As payments are processed by Apple, refund requests must be directed to Apple. We cannot issue refunds directly except where required by applicable law.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must not:

• Abuse, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the Service

• Use the Service in a way that interferes with other users

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of any content you create within the Service, including:

• Items you save to your cooling-off list

• Personal notes and descriptions

• Savings goals

• Preferences and settings

Limited Licence

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of:

• Operating and providing the Service

• Enabling cloud synchronisation across your devices

• Providing account access and data backup

We do not use your content for advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than delivering the Service to you.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using Spend Slow, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

Our Rights

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Spend Slow and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Restrictions

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, nor may you reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the software.

Spend Slow is designed to help you develop mindful spending habits by implementing a "cooling-off" period before purchases.

The Service does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax, or professional advice.

You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. We make no guarantees about the amount of money you may save or any financial outcomes from using the Service.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice. This includes:

• Adding or removing features

• Changing subscription pricing (with reasonable notice)

• Updating the user interface

• Modifying functionality

No Liability for Changes

We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

Your Right to Delete

You may delete your account at any time directly within the App through Settings. Account deletion will:

• Permanently remove all your data from our systems within a reasonable timeframe

• Revoke your access to the Service

• Not automatically cancel any active subscription (you must cancel separately through the App Store)

Data Recovery

Once your account is deleted, your data cannot be recovered. Please ensure you have exported or saved any information you wish to keep before deleting your account.

Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if:

• You breach these Terms

• You misuse the Service

• We are required to do so by law

• We discontinue the Service

Termination by You

You may stop using the Service at any time by:

• Deleting your account through the App

• Cancelling any active subscription through the App Store

• Uninstalling the App from your device

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free

• The results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable

• The Service will meet your specific requirements

• Any defects in the Service will be corrected

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

• We shall not be liable for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill

• Our total liability shall not exceed the amounts you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for matters that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Spend Slow and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service

• Your violation of these Terms

• Your violation of any rights of another party

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
